Kesko ranks sector-best globally in sustainability on the ‘Global 100’ list

The Canadian Corporate Knights has published its ’Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World’ listing for 2026. Kesko is the highest ranking company globally in the Consumer Staples sector for the third consecutive year. Other Finnish companies on the 2026 list were Kone, Neste and Nokia.

Kesko requires high quality and product safety from its own brand clothes and textiles. Kesko’s chemical guideline sets requirements for chemical use that are in some cases stricter than the EU legislation. Compliance with product quality and safety requirements is monitored through laboratory tests both in Finland and abroad.

Reusable takeaway containers introduced in grocery stores – trial underway at K-Supermarket Ratina

Customers at K-Supermarket Ratina in Tampere can now pack their salad bar and service counter portions in a reusable takeaway container. K-food stores will be trialling new solutions to replace single-use packaging during the autumn and in early 2026. K Group’s goal is to reduce packaging waste and promote the circular economy.
