Sustainable products
Kesko reports on its environmentally sustainable operations in accordance with the criteria defined in the EU Taxonomy as part of the Report by the Board of Directors. Our own classification of sustainable products presented in this section complements the turnover KPI reported in accordance with the EU Taxonomy.
For sustainability reporting purposes, we have classified the products and investments in each division that we define as sustainable from a climate and/or biodiversity perspective. We define sustainable products as those which have a significantly smaller impact on the climate or biodiversity than comparable products, or which are important for adapting to climate change or preventing the loss of biodiversity.
