In December 2000, Kesko’s wholesale sales were effected on 18 days, which was three less in December 1999. The total number of trading days in 2000 was two more than during the same period in 1999. Kesko’s grocery sales to the Anttila grocery retailers were transferred from the Home and Speciality Goods Division to the Foodstuffs Division at the turn of the year. In December 1999, the sales were MFIM 69.8 (MEUR 11.7). In January-December 1999, the sales were MFIM 716.7 (MEUR 120.5). The change in the Foodstuffs Division’s sales, in comparable figures, was -6.5% in December 2000 and 1.6% in 1.1.-30.11.2000, and the corresponding figures of the Home and Speciality Goods Division were -7.4% and -7.5%.
