In August 2001, Kesko's wholesale sales were effected on 23 days, which was same as in August 2000. The total number of trading days in January-August 2001 was one more than during the corresponding period in 2000.
As part of the chain reform, Kesko decreased, from the beginning of 2001, its wholesale prices to the K-retailers. The new pricing system is estimated to have a decreasing effect of about two percent on net sales at an annual level in the whole Group and about four percent in Kesko Food.
