In October 2001, Kesko's wholesale sales were effected on 23 days, which was one more than in October 2000. The total number of trading days in January-October 2001 has been one more than during the corresponding period in 2000.
As part of the chain reform, Kesko decreased, from the beginning of 2001, its wholesale prices to the K-retailers. The new pricing system is estimated to have a decreasing effect of about two percentage points on net sales, in comparable figures, at an annual level in the whole Group and over three percentage points in Kesko Food.
