Kesko selected for the new UN Global Compact 100 stock index

The UN Global Compact initiative has launched a new Global Compact 100 stock index composed of 100 companies selected on the basis of a global responsibility evaluation.
The companies were selected for inclusion in the Global Compact 100 index from among the Global Compact signatories evaluated by Sustainalytics. The companies were analysed in terms of environmental responsibility, social responsibility and financial profitability.
Global Compact is a worldwide sustainability initiative
Kesko has been a participant in the UN Global Compact initiative since 2005.
The Global Compact is a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
With more than 8,000 corporate signatories in 145 countries, the Global Compact is the world's largest voluntary corporate sustainability initiative.

Kesko included in several significant sustainability indices
Kesko has been included in the Dow Jones sustainability indices DJSI World and DJSI Europe for 11 years. Since 2009, Kesko has been included in the FTSE4Good index and since 2011, in the STOXX Global ESG Leaders index. In 2012, Kesko was featured in CDP's Nordic 'Climate Disclosure Leadership Index' for the second time.
