NetAnttila's digital music sales on a strong growth trend

The sales of Anttila Oy's digital music online store (www.netanttila.com/download) are growing strongly. Increasingly many NetAnttila customers buy complete music albums in digital form.

NetAnttila's digital music sales have increased by nearly 50% during this year. The sales of complete music albums have enjoyed the biggest growth.

”The structure of digital music sales has clearly changed. In May 2005, when NetAnttila started to sell digital music, customers mainly bought individual songs. Currently the focus is clearly on complete albums. The sales have progressed as we expected and we are happy about it," says Mika Leiponen, Director, Anttila Oy's Online Sales.

This year NetAnttila's digital music online store has had 30,000 different visitors per week at its best. The buyers of digital music appreciate the ease and speed of buying and the wide selection of music.*

”The sales growth of digital music has also changed the singles market, because increasingly many artists publish their singles in digital form only. For example, last spring NetAnttila had the exclusive right to digitally publish the single 'Eva' by Nightwish, and it sold very well," says Mika Leiponen.

NetAnttila's digital music online store currently offers a selection of 1.8 million titles. The price of one song is 0.99 euros and album prices start from 9.95 euros. Customers can burn the music they have bought on a CD and transfer it to MP3 / WMA players. It is possible to listen to a sample of the music before making a purchase. There are several payment options.
