Kesko has discontinued the purchase of Russian products and the export of food products to Russia

Kesko has decided to discontinue the purchase of Russian products and the export of food products to Russia as a response to the shocking situation in Ukraine.

Kesko withdrew from the Russian grocery and building and home improvement trade markets in 2016-2018. Since then, Kesko’s purchases from Russia have been very minor.

Kesko and its Lithuanian partner together have a joint venture Kesko Senukai, which operates in the Baltic countries and is a part-owner in a Belarussian building and home improvement trade chain. Kesko’s ownership of the Belarussian chain is some 25%. Selections for these companies are decided locally. As a partial owner, Kesko will strive to impact these decisions to the best of its ability.
