Kesko's sales in November 2013

The Kesko Group's sales, excluding VAT, in November 2013 totalled 759.3 million, down 6.2%.
In Kesko's food trade, sales in November were 362.0 million, a decrease of 2.5% compared to the previous year. In November, the number of delivery days was one less than in the previous year.
In the home and speciality goods trade, sales in November were 123.5 million, a decrease of 9.2%. Sales performance was particularly impacted by the decrease in department store sales, as well as network changes in Musta Pörssi and Intersport Russia. Indoor's sales increased.
In the building and home improvement trade, sales in November were 205.1 million, a decrease of 12.6%. In terms of local currencies and excluding the impact of retailer changes in Norway, sales decreased by 3.5%. Sales in Finland decreased by 12.6%. Sales abroad decreased by 12.6% in terms of euros. In terms of local currencies and excluding the impact of retailer changes in Norway, sales growth in foreign operations was 3.3%. In November, the number of delivery days was one less than in the previous year.
In the car and machinery trade, sales in November were 82.4 million, an increase of 0.7%. VV-Auto's sales in November were 66.4 million, up 5.1%. Konekesko's sales in November were 15.9 million, a decrease of 14.4% from the previous year.

In November 2013, the number of selling days in Kesko's wholesale in Finland was 21, which was one less than in the previous year. The total number of selling days in January-November was one less than in the previous year. The number of retail selling days in November was 28, which was the same as in the previous year. The total number of retail selling days in January-November was one less than in the previous year.
