MUSTA PÖRSSI RETAILERS ABANDON THEIR ACTIONS AGAINST KESKO

Kesko Corporation and four former Musta Pörssi retailers have signed conciliation agreements to the effect that the retailers abandon their actions against Kesko.

The Musta Pörssi retailers, who now abandon their actions, had been given notice by Kesko in 2001 and had primarily demanded that Kesko be obliged to pay a total of about EUR 1.66 million in compensation for the notices they claimed to be contrary to their contracts, and for related matters. On 3 April 2002, Kesko published a stock exchange release announcing that it had been served summons by four former Musta Pörssi retailers.
