Jämerä stone houses to be sold by K-rauta stores
K-rauta, Rautakesko's retail store chain, and Jämerä, a Finnish manufacturer of stone houses, have signed a cooperation agreement on the sale of Jämerä houses. According to the agreement, the sale will first began at K-rauta stores in the Greater Helsinki area, the Uusimaa province, Turku, Oulu, and elsewhere in Northern Finland.
"We wanted to provide our customers with an increasingly wider and diversified selection of houses. We already have good cooperation with Finndomo and Kontiotuote, and stone houses are a natural complement to our supply. Ecological and energy-efficient stone houses reduce both the environmental impact of housing and overall housing costs," says Petri Torvinen, Rautakesko's International Category Manager.
"We naturally want to cooperate with major operators in the sector. We believe that cooperation with K-rauta stores will benefit customers, as they will be more options available," says Juha Halttunen, Managing Director of Jämerä-kivitalot Oy.
Jämerä (www.jamera.fi) is a well-known and valued stone house brand in Finland and the only domestic full-stone house on the market. Stone houses are made of steam-hardened lightweight concrete. Lightweight concrete provides a supporting structure with efficient thermal insulation and, being based on rock material, also has high heat storage capacity.
