Standing subscriptions for all magazines of A-lehdet accrue Plussa points as from 1 January 2007, when cooperation between the K-Group's Plussa, the largest customer loyalty system in Finland, and the media house A-lehdet Oy starts. With this new cooperation Plussa aims to increase the diversity of its network and the uses of the card.
A-lehdet Oy publishes 16 different magazines: Apu, ApuRistikot, ApuKrypto, Avotakka, Demi, Eeva, Jade, Kauneus & Terveys, Maku, Meidän Mökki, Meidän Talo, Soundi, Tuulilasi, Urheilulehti, ViherPiha, and Voi hyvin. Plussa points are also accrued from subscriptions to the Image, Mondo, Muoto and Viini magazines, which are published by Image Kustannus, a subsidiary of A-lehdet. A-lehdet is a family business which was established in 1933 and employs a staff of 515.
As part of this cooperation the publishing contract concerning the Pirkka family of publications is transferred to Dialogi, a subsidiary of A-lehdet, as from the beginning of 2007. Dialogi specialises in producing customer magazines. The net sales of the A-lehdet Group totalled €90.3 million in 2005. The A-lehdet Group consists of A-lehdet Oy, Markkinointiviestintä Dialogi Oy, Image Funk Oy, and Image Kustannus Oy.
Approximately 3.4 million Finns in nearly 1.8 million household already have a Plussa card, which is accepted at nearly 3,000 outlets. In addition to the K-Group stores, there are 40 Plussa cooperation partners, including Scandic Hotels, Neste, Sonera, Helsinki Energy, Europcar, Finnkino, and more than 50 restaurants throughout Finland. The Plussa card is presented at checkouts in connection with about 200 million transactions annually.
