Kaukomarkkinat to be restructured and renamed

The Kaukomarkkinat Group is finalising the streamlining of its corporate structure in Finland, begun last autumn. With effect from 1 October 2006, the new name of the parent company of the group concentrating on technical trade will be Kauko-Telko Group Oy. The group-level marketing names will be Telko and Telko Group, while Kaukomarkkinat, LT-Tukku, LT-Kone and Intotel will remain in use as marketing names for respective business lines.

After the adoption of the new name, the companies belonging to the group, Intotel Oy, Telko Oy, LT-Tukku Oy and LT-Kone Oy, will merge with Kauko-Telko Group Oy by 1 January 2007.

The mergers and the name change will not affect the group's business operations or the number of personnel.

Kaukomarkkinat is a Kesko subsidiary engaging primarily in international technical trading for production and professional use in 12 countries.
