The K Alliance's magazine for loyal customers, Pirkka, has launched a new Pirkka.fi web service. The new web service will follow the magazine's line and focus on making daily life easier, not forgetting useful tips. Plussa customers will find their special services on Plussa.com pages just as before.
The new Pirkka.fi web service is published as a blog, a web-based diary. In this scale, the application is a new one in Finland, as so far weblogs have mainly been written by private persons. Pirkka.fi opens four different blogs at a time, under the themes food, home, leisure time and the 'Napero' section for families with children.
Besides presenting new food products, the Food section contains the popular recipe bank that consists of over 2,000 Pirkka recipes tested by the K-test kitchen and 'From Food to Wine' service implemented in co-operation with the Viini (Wine) magazine. The Home section provides news and instructions related to interior decoration, home improvement, household appliances and gardening. The Leisure section concentrates on fashion, beauty and good looks, complemented with entertainment.
The Napero section of the service supports the K-food stores' Napero club by offering tips, discussions and experiences for parents who have children aged under seven.
"The new Pirkka.fi is an interactive service that works on the terms of the Internet and its users. All registered readers can complement the contents of the service with their own comments, knowledge and experience," says Riitta Korhonen, Editor-in-Chief of the Pirkka magazine.
Pirkka, the K-Alliance's loyal customer magazine, is the most widely read magazine in Finland. It is edited by Kynämies Oy and has nearly 2.5 million readers. The new Pirkka.fi service has been implemented jointly by Kynämies Oy and K Plus Oy.
Plussa customers will continue to find at the Plussa.com web service all their benefits and special offers, Plussa stores and partners with contact information, the map search service and the section where they can monitor the accrual of their Plussa points and the amount of their Plussa purchases in euros.
