VV-Auto and Stockmann sign a deal for Volkswagen and Audi business operations at Herttoniemi

VV-Auto Oy and Oyj Stockmann Abp have closed a deal on the Volkswagen and Audi retail operations at Herttoniemi, Helsinki. Helsingin VV-Auto Oy, a VV-Auto subsidiary, will start sales and service operations at the beginning of July. VV-Auto Oy is the owner of the business site.

According to the deal, the personnel of about 135 are transferred under their previous conditions to Helsingin VV-Auto Oy. Stockmann will continue Volkswagen sales operations at the Merituuli business centre in Espoo, in Vantaa, at Pitäjänmäki, in Helsinki, and at the Audi Centre in Espoo scheduled to open this summer.

The Volkswagen and Audi premises at Herttoniemi include the biggest sales outlet of these makes in Finland. In the future, its sales are estimated to exceed 100 million euros annually. VV-Auto intends to develop the Herttoniemi outlet and its services further so that it will sell nearly 3,000 new cars each year, of which some 2,200 Volkswagens and over 700 Audis. Service operations will also be developed in order to respond to the increasing make volumes and customer expectations.

In January-May this year, the market share of Volkswagen cars in Finland was 10.8 percent and that of Audis 2.9 percent.
