Kesko ranks as the most sustainable company in the European ‘Grocery Stores’ peer group in the new ‘Europe 50 Most Sustainable Corporations’ listing. Kesko ranks the highest of Finnish companies on the list, which also include Kone and Nokia.

In August 2024, Kesko announced that it had agreed to acquire three builders’ merchants in Denmark: Roslev Trælasthandel A/S, Tømmergaarden A/S, and CF Petersen & Søn A/S.
The acquisitions are part of the execution of Kesko’s growth strategy in Northern Europe. Once completed, the acquisitions will make Kesko’s subsidiary Davidsen a significant nationwide operator in the Danish builders’ merchant market.
The first of the three acquisitions, Roslev Trælasthandel, was completed in January 2025.
Kesko estimates that the last of the three acquisitions, Tømmergaarden, will be completed in the first half of 2025.
