Strengthening the customer-driven organization of K-citymarket Oy, Anttila department stores, Kodin1 department stores for interior decoration and NetAnttila

The customer- and chain-driven organization of K-citymarket and Anttila is strengthened by Management Board changes starting from 1 July 2012.

KTM Petri Mäntysalo (42) has been appointed Chain Director, K-citymarket Oy.

KTM Ari Rissanen (50) has been appointed Chain Director, Anttila department stores.

KTM Matti Pohjola (37) has been appointed Chain Director, Kodin1 department stores for interior decoration.

From now on, the chain directors will have a clear total responsibility of the customer promise of their chain and its delivery in all of the chain's stores, the definition of chain concepts, marketing, managing store operations, and the sales and performance of the chain. The marketing and customer-driven operations of the chains will be strengthened by appointing customer relationship managers and marketing managers for each chain.

KTM Jukka Koivunen (50) has been appointed Vice President, K-citymarket and Anttila, with responsibilities in sales and purchasing support and other support functions. The unit comprises marketing, communications, finance, logistics, private label development, and IT and business development. The unit will provide the chains and purchasing with clear support, shared tools and better utilization of customer information in the chains. Jukka Koivunen has held various management positions in Kesko since 1988, and he will start in the new position on 13 August 2012.

OTK Hanne Lehtovuori (37) has been appointed HR Director, K-citymarket and Anttila, with responsibilities in HR management and staff development. Hanne Lehtovuori transfers to KCM-Anttila from YIT, where she has been Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Construction Services Finland, responsible for personnel services. Lehtovuori will start in the new position on 1 August 2012.

Petri Mäntysalo, Ari Rissanen, Matti Pohjola, Hanne Lehtovuori and Jukka Koivunen will join the K-citymarket and Anttila Management Board, and they report to President Ari Akseli. In addition to them, the Management Board consists of Sourcing Director Hannele Åberg, Director Veikko Matikka, NetAnttila Sales Director Tuula Juvonen and Development Director Sauli Ylöstalo.

K-citymarket, Anttila and Kodin Ykkönen belong to the Kesko home and speciality goods trade division. Kesko home and speciality goods trade offers products and services related to clothing, home, sports, leisure, home technology, entertainment and interior decoration and furniture.

K-citymarket is a diversified and favourably-priced hypermarket chain which provides wide selections of groceries and home and speciality goods. There are currently 77 K-citymarkets in Finland. The total sales of K-citymarket Oy in 2011 was €649.5 million (in January-March 2012, total sales was €148.1 million).

Anttila retails entertainment, fashion and home goods. In Finland, there are 30 Anttila department stores, 10 Kodin Ykkönen department stores for interior decoration and home goods, NetAnttila.fi and Kodin1.com online stores and digianttila.fi download store. NetAnttila online store operates also in Estonia and Latvia. The total sales of Anttila department stores, Kodin Ykkönen stores and NetAnttila in 2011 was €476.3 million (in January-March 2012, total sales was €107.9 million).
