VV-Auto Group Oy and SE Mäkinen Logistics Ltd to intensify cooperation in car logistics

VV-Auto and SE Mäkinen have signed an agreement according to which SE Mäkinen will offer the import-related transport and storage services for the Volkswagen, Audi and Seat cars imported by VV-Auto. The agreement will enter into force at the completion of the Vuosaari harbour construction project at the end of November 2008.

During next year, SE Mäkinen will build a car logistics centre in Vantaa, where the vehicles imported by VV-Auto will be transported direct from the Vuosaari harbour. At the logistics centre the cars will undergo the required import service before delivery to VV-Auto's dealers. The new business model will increase the cost efficiency and service capability of VV-Auto's logistics.
