K-retailer career
An individual and practical training programme provides a good basis for starting a career as an independent K-retailer entrepreneur in a store, and for gaining experience needed to move on to new store sites.
Safe and efficient entrance into a K-retailer career
Kesko's K-retailer training programme develops future K-retailer entrepreneurs. The programme of each selected participant is formulated with an individual emphasis. Every participant can begin the programme at a time most convenient for him or her, and the length of the training is determined by the trainee's development needs. These depend on education, experience in supervisory and accountable duties, as well as customer interface experience.
Every programme includes on-the-job retailer work training in a K-store, necessary theoretical education and regional exchange of experiences. The training programme lasts about 4-18 months, depending on specified personal needs.
With polytechnics, Kesko has launched a cooperation model titled 'Retailer Entrepreneurship Path', which provides an alternative entrance into a K-retailer career. It enables polytechnic students to include the Retailer Entrepreneurship Path in their study modules. This ensures them excellent possibilities for taking up a career as a K-retailer, perhaps even shortly after graduation.
The K-Group provides a good basis for a successful retailer career. K-stores, the K-Retailers' Association and Kesko with its subsidiaries form a whole, which comprises over 1,000 K-food stores and hundreds of home and speciality goods stores.
