Hehku Kauppa’s codetermination negotiations concluded – operations to be discontinued by spring 2019

The wellbeing store chain owned by Kesko and Oriola, Hehku Kauppa Oy, has concluded its statutory codetermination negotiations with personnel representatives. As a result, the company will discontinue its operations.

On 26 November 2018, Hehku Kauppa initiated statutory codetermination negotiations with personnel representatives regarding the potential discontinuation of its operations, as the company had failed to meet the business and financial targets set. After a three-week negotiation period agreed with personnel, the negotiations have been concluded and the company will discontinue its business operations by spring 2019. As a result, the employment relationships of all of Hehku Kauppa’s nearly 100 employees will be terminated.

Hehku Kauppa has 19 stores, an online store and corporate functions. The timetable for store closures will be confirmed later; until then, the online and physical stores will serve customers as usual.
