Pirkka products
The Pirkka product range, which has been part of Finnish people's lives for more than 20 years, is an important competitive asset for K-food stores. Pirkka products combine quality and low prices. There are over 1,800 Pirkka products, and new ones are being continuously developed. The Pirkka range also comprises nearly 30 Pirkka Fairtrade products and more than 40 Pirkka Organic products.
The quality of all Pirkka products is assured by Kesko Food's own Pirkka Product Research Laboratory, which has the ISO 17025 accreditation, an international recognition of competence. It is the only laboratory in Finland responsible for the quality assurance of private label products.
Pirkka Test Kitchen, part of Pirkka Product Research, develops and tests all own recipes to be published in the Pirkka magazine and the online recipe service Pirkka.fi. The recipes are also included in the K-RuokaPirkka leaflet that is monthly available in all K-food stores and in the TV programme 'What are we having today?'. These recipes form an essential part of the best and affordable food ideas and meal solutions offered to customers.

Pirkka products have received several recognitions for their good quality and the innovativeness of the range. In June 2008, Pirkka was the first private label to be admitted to the List of Trademarks with a Reputation. Admission to the list is based on strong evidence of a trademark's wide recognition in Finland.
Pirkka magazine and Pirkka.fi
Pirkka is the K-Group's customer magazine delivered to every household in Finland.
The Pirkka magazine, coupled with the Pirkka.fi pages, constitute a modern media from which readers can benefit. Pirkka helps make our daily lives easier by providing not only tips and recipes but also practical ideas, advice and instructions for interior decoration, home improvement, building, fashion, beauty, leisure and hobby activities. There are separate sections of interest for youths, children, and pet owners.
K-RuokaPirkka
The monthly K-RuokaPirkka leaflet helps K-food store customers plan their everyday meals. Each issue has recipes and tips for daily and more festive occasions. The leaflet also covers new or topical Pirkka products. A digital version of the leaflet can be read at www.ruokapirkka.fi.
