We improve wellbeing at work
Productive work requires employees to have the required competence and skills, the ability to manage their schedules, and comfortable and safe working conditions. Kesko has a long-term approach to maintaining and improving wellbeing at work.

Our aim is to improve Kesko employees' working capacity and motivation, reduce sickness absences and raise the retirement age.
We develop our employees' skills and provide them with training on a continuous basis. 24,300 people took part in training programmes offered by K-instituutti in 2010. The online learning environment is increasingly used in training programmes. More than 400 K-Food Specialists have been trained for K-food stores with the help of an eLearning programme. The year 2010 marked the 50th anniversary of the Master Sales Assistant training of K-store personnel.
In the interest of fostering team spirit, we encourage our employees to exercise and enjoy arts and culture. In this respect, the various companies support employee activity in the form of clubs, by providing fitness vouchers or carrying out cooperation with gyms and fitness associations. The range of the Kesko Staff Club covers dozens of activities from weaving to gym ball exercise.
The personnel survey and performance and development reviews support wellbeing at work. The annual personnel survey conducted at Kesko and its chain stores provides information on the working community and leadership. Supervisors and employess carry out a performance and development review one to three times a yar.
Kesko's Occupational Health Service Unit focuses on operations that maintain work ability and promote the wellbeing of the working community.
